What is a splashback?
It is a large piece of glass (also available in other finishes), located at the back of a cooker, hob, range or sink to protect the wall from splashes, stains, steam and heat.

What is the thickness of the glass?
Kitchen splashbacks are made of high quality 6mm toughened glass which is the industry standard and a similar thickness to a standard wall tile. Bathroom splashbacks are made of high quality 4mm toughened glass.
What happens if the glass breaks?
Our glass splashbacks have been toughened so, just like a car windscreen, in the unlikely event that the glass breaks it will shatter into small, safe pieces.

What sizes do the splashbacks come in?
Our self-adhesive glass kitchen splashbacks are available in 600mm(w) x 750mm(h) & 900mm(w) x 750mm(h) which fit perfectly behind most cookers, hobs, ranges, and sinks.
Our pre-drilled Clear glass kitchen splashbacks are available in 4 sizes: 600mm(w) x 700mm(h), 900mm(w) x 700mm(h), 600mm (w) x 750mm (h) and 900mm x 750mm (h).
All our glass bathroom splashbacks are 600mm x 250mm in size, ideal behind vanity units and basins.
Can I cut the splashback to size?
Glass splashbacks cannot be cut to size. During the manufacturing process the glass is heated and then cooled very quickly which makes it toughened. The glass therefore cannot be cut nor can it be drilled.
Do you offer samples? what size are they?
Yes. Each glass sample measures 100mm(w) x 100mm(h).
Do you offer splashbacks in bespoke sizes?

How do I install my splashback?
We apply a self-adhesive backing to all of our glass splashbacks with the exception of our Clear product. Simply peel off the backing and stick the glass straight to the wall then seal around the outside edges with a clear silicone sealant. Our Clear splashback is pre-drilled and comes complete with a fixing kit. All splashbacks arrive with installation instructions.

Will I be able to see the adhesive backing through the glass?
No. All colours are opaque and therefore nothing can be seen through them.
What if my wall is uneven or bumpy?
It is very important that your wall is sound and in good condition before attempting to install your splashback. Although the self-adhesive backing is padded, it’s your responsibility to ensure that any loose plaster, paint or wallpaper is made sound before the splashback is fixed in place.
Can I stick my splashback over tiles?
If the wall is sound and in good condition and the tiles are clean and free of dirt and dust, there should be no problem.
Can I reposition my splashback?
No. Once applied to the wall, the splashback cannot be repositioned.
How quickly will I receive my samples?
Samples are sent out within 24 hours of receiving your order and are posted 1st Class through Royal Mail.
What is the delivery time for full-sized splashbacks?
We hold stock of all splashbacks and delivery is guaranteed within 48 hours of your order being placed. We will contact you by email to confirm your order.
In the majority of cases, if an order is placed before midday your splashback will be delivered the following day (excluding weekends).
What is the cost of delivery?

Where do you deliver to?
We currently deliver to addresses in Mainland UK and Northern Ireland. Dependent on location, we can ship further afield. However, please contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order as increased shipping costs will have an impact on the price of your splashback. We are experts in shipping fragile products so we ensure that all our toughened full-sized glass splashbacks are supplied in double layered protective packaging.

All our glass splashbacks are guaranteed for 5 years.
How do I pay for my splashback and/or samples?
You can pay by credit card, debit card or use a PayPal account, if you have one. Once the transaction has been completed you will receive an order confirmation with receipt of payment and details of your order via e-mail from Splashback.co.uk.
What is your returns policy?
